Private Wealth Advisor, RJFS
Steve Ford is an experienced family wealth management professional committed to developing lifelong relationships with clients.
With an extensive knowledge of the law and over 21 years of experience as a financial advisor, Steve is able to navigate the interface between tax laws and financial planning, including adeptly facilitating coordination in approach with other members of his clients’ team of trusted advisors. Additionally, Steve’s status as a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) reflects his deep knowledge of business transition planning.
Steve received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Wofford College. He went on to receive his JD from University of South Carolina School of Law and completed his legal education with a Masters of Laws in Taxation from Emory School of Law. After completing his education, Steve practiced law for 13 years. Though Steve remains a member of the SC Bar, he does not actively practice law, but enjoys partnering opportunities with select attorneys and advisors.
It’s important to Steve to give back when he’s not providing financial advice and support to his clients. He is passionate about teaching and guiding younger generations to become active and involved community members. It was this passion that led him to be a 5th grade Sunday school teacher for seven years. Additionally, he supports initiatives to create holy and prosperous communities in the U.S. and abroad, including contributing his expertise to microfinance campaigns in Nicaragua.
Steve lives in South Carolina with his wife, Clare, and their three children, Grayson, Olivia, and Hampton.
